***HL***

A warm welcome to you. So I have been uncapped for approximately thirty nine hours and forty one minutes, and let me tell you. I have downloaded so many movies that I have only nine gigabytes worth of free space in my laptop. It's amazing how I can almost use up two hundred and eighty six gigabytes when it's only been one year. So anyway, one of the movies that I downloaded is The Clique, you could say it is a cross breed between Gossip Girl and Mean Girls. However, one slight difference is it's based on girls in the seventh grade over in America, the country of glam and money. So anyway, today's post I will be known as Pinky Weatherton whereby I am a teenage high school girl in her senior year and an editor for the school newspaper The Nutmeg. Hope you do enjoy reading my stories. Good day to you all, HL.

'How to Create Character'

Audiences often ask if characters are based on "real people." Indeed, the impulse of the amateur is to write about "who one knows." The professional, on the other hand, understands the impossibility of such a task. The "creator" of the character must know more about the character than one could ever possibly know about a "real person". The author must possess complete knowledge: what the character was wearing on Christmas morning when he or she was five, what presents he or she received, who gave them, and how they were given. A "character", therefore, is a "real person" who exists in another plane, a parallel universe based on the author's perception of reality.
When it comes to people - don't write about who you know, but what you know of human nature.
Pinky Weathorton.

'The Queen Bee'

The trick to being a queen bee isn't necessarily beauty but industriousness. Beauty helps, but without the drive to get to the top and stay on top, beauty will only make you a bee-in-waiting. Passing down the crown to the next bee-in-waiting is like an annual tradition which commences once the old queen graduates. However, the new queen is always obvious. The 'Queen Bee' has beauty, blonde as can be, a cheerleader captain, ranked highest on the popularity scale and will always have THE accessory: the football team's captain. He has the looks, the reputation, the car but let's not forget the key feature that makes them both the perfect couple. The small brains. It is time to break the tradition. Any girl can be the Queen Bee, but what really is the point of having one if she's only got the looks and not the brain. The leader should be someone who has all the qualities of a perfect person. There really is no point in having a queen bee, if the only purpose of that person is to provide a rules and spread fear across the school. I would like to have this opportunity to give a shout-out to all the queen bees out there. After your year you will be officially irrelevant.
Pinky Weathorton.

'The Nerd Prince'

It usually starts in September. If you're a girl, and a senior, you look around and wonder: Will I have a date for the prom? And if not, how can I find one? And this is where the Nerd Prince comes in.
He's the guy you overlooked in freshman, sophomore and junior year. First he was the short guy with the high voice. Then he was the taller guy with zits. And then, something happened. His voice deepened. He got contacts. And all of a sudden you find yourself sitting next to him in biology, and you think - hey, I could actually like this guy.
And then the Nerd Prince has his pluses. Because he hasn't been corrupted by being the hot guy his whole life, he's grateful. And because he hasn't been yelled at by coaches or trampled on by the football team, he's actually kind of nice. You can trust him...

Old in age, Young at heart. 6:00 PM July 09, 2010
So, I have been seventeen years old for exactly nine days already. Before then, all I ever thought about when people mentioned about my birthday was for me to never grow old and forever stay sixteen. Eventually I thought about what I would miss out. The fun, the parties, the clubs, the alcohol. Not to mention the hype of being legal and all. So I truly accepted what was coming. I tried to make it so that seventeen wouldn't be a big deal and would make me have fun and enjoy myself. Outings and events which I hosted with my dearly beloveds. First event? A family party with lots and lots of food. Second a heart felt day spent with that someone enjoying breakfast, movie, lunch and lots of walking. Next up on the agenda? A strictly girlfriends only event where we eat, have fun and watch a movie. Gee, it has been quite a while since I last blogged. Two weeks if I'm correct? Maybe a bit longer than that. I even thought about abandoning this blog of mine. Yet, here I am blogging again. Reunited. Letting you guys read my thoughts and rant on about my life. So here we are halfway through the year twenty ten and I am a seventeen year old now. Today I feel like blogging so much. So instead of bombarding you with all my thoughts all in one post. I will do it in so many posts. All in one day. Watch me as I amaze you with how many thoughts I have. Enjoy your reading. :) I have decided to do these posts tomorrow. XD! As I am now bored with my layout, so not only will I blog my heart out tomorrow, be excited as this blog of mine will look different! Until tomorrow people, BYE!

Stay away from me. 10:19 PM June 15, 2010

Stay away from me. A harsh statement/phrase isn't it. However, some people deserve to be treated harshly for what they have done. They should know that "What goes around, comes around". Sorry, but it's the truth. The person whom I want to read this blog will never be able to navigate to this blog of mine. They will never know how I feel and what I think of them. I am not someone who can take being put on the spot in situations. I am not the person whom people want me to be. I am me. I have my own opinions, my own beliefs, my own life, my own choices and my own emotions. No one can force me to feel what they want me to feel. I feel what I want to feel. Whether its happiness, sadness, stressed, tired, angry, frustrated, fussy, etc. I am me! Yet some people just don't understand this. It's like they have no form of common sense whatsoever. One day they will leave me no choice but to inform the police and obtain a restraining order. That way, I will be able to feel safe, and treated like a human being who can do whatever they please. Insane right? But, I am the person who will go to that extreme measure once I have been pushed to the limit. So if YOU (the person whom will never read this and understand the harm that they are causing on me) do not eventually stop. Don't blame me for the outcomes. You will only have yourself to blame as you are the one who started it.

The Night That Was...... 9:45 PM June 05, 2010
"ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!"
That's right, this post will be about the night that was absolutely amazing. You want to know what this night was? Do you? Do you really?  LOL! Well, I was supposed to blog about it like what? Three weeks ago? But don't you worry about that cause now I'm here and about to update you with that night. So about April I blogged about my formal dress and stated myself that I would blog about the night that I wore that magnificent dress of mine.

Well the night came, the day couldn't have ended better than with my whole group of friends and their dates gathered together with the rest of the year 12 cohort all dressed up and pretty. Honestly, the food? Should have been better. My vegetarian dish was a disaster... too salty for my liking, and I'm a salty food lover. The dessert? A chocolate tart, extremely sweet. Got sick of it after a few forkfuls. Decorations, I expected better since I attended most of the SRC meetings regarding formal preparations. A bit disappointed.

However, this post wasn't created so that I can list and discuss about the cons of the formal. The sole purpose is to just rant and rant on about the night until I run out of things to talk about and probably by the time you guys get sick and tired of me talking about it. On the day, my school instead of being like any other school and making the students attend lessons during the day; we have a traditional school event that is held once every year on the day of the formal. That's right, our school is cool when it comes to allowing the students to bludge lessons. XD. The event? Walkathon. That's right, a walkathon. This event doesn't last for the whole day. Oh Lord no. It only lasts for 2 and a half hours. After that, the year 12's get to leave at 1pm to go and get ready for the big night. Unfortunately, the students below us a year get to leave at the same time too as our formals are joint. Yes, that's right. I'm talking about the year 11's.

Anyway, where was I. OH! That's right. My group all ended up going home to have a shower, eat lunch, relax and then get ready. Some had hair and make-up appointments, the rest just went home. Me? I, not only went home but at 3 I departed my house to go over to Amy's shack. We had a formal appointment with each other. LOL! We prepared and talked and talked some more. Unfortunately talking while applying make up is a big distraction and a cause for lateness. So we rushed. However, we weren't the only ones that were late. Anne had to pick us up and when we called her, she only just started on her hair. So instead of sticking to our schedule to arrive at Lisa's house for pre-drinks and light snacks at 5. We were an hour late. Some were even an hour and a half late. LOLOLOLOLOL! All in all, we eventually arrived, corsages were presented and tied and all departed in 4 cars to arrive at the final destination.

The Adelaide Festival Theatre's Banquet Room.

At the formal: we ate, danced, took photos (both professional and unprofessional), voted, laughed and practically enjoyed our time together. Awards were given out on the night, two of us from the group won awards. Myself=Most Formal Obsessed, Anne=Future Picasso. The event was concluded with a speech made by our two presidents Sarah Del Fante and Emma O'Shaugnessy.

The night ended with me going home with a balloon, a corsage, an award sash, half of my once a full pair of diamond earrings (which my mum constantly nagged me about for the next few days. =.=""") and two sore feet (in need of a massage and a warm bucket of water). :D So that was my twelve hours worth of fun and memories spent wisely on the Friday 7th of May 2010.

Below, are some photos that were taken on the day. I hope you will be able to experience or get a sense of the vibe that was going on around me just by looking at them. Enjoy!

The emotional experience 6:55 PM May 28, 2010
Well, this post was postponed so many times. Like you don't even want to know. Well, I finally found the time to finish it off. So here we go with another one of my posts where I ramble on about nothing.

Ever since two weeks ago, when I got my new pair of glasses. My heart sank. Let me tell you, it kept on sinking. I tried to do so many things just to attempt to get it to float again. Yet, day after day it continued to sink and sadness began to rise. Although, that was how I felt for the past two weeks. My heart has finally resurfaced and it is now time for me to celebrate as results have been revealed and I am OKAY!

Anyway, so I was roaming around on Youtube and I discovered a new artist. That's right a new artist. Let me tell you, normally I'd only listen to RnB songs and upbeat songs. I would occasionally listen to slow songs, yet, I have found myself to LOVE this song. Although while watching this music video, I have picked out a few habits of this singer. But all in all, I still love the song. Currently trying to search for the song online so that I can download it. So far.... no luck whatsoever! Hopefully I will be able to find it soon. Anyway, I've posted the music video below. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)

What is the point anymore? 10:55 PM April 28, 2010
It's late, I'm tired, yet my head is filled up with so much anger, feeling heart broken, experiencing delusions, making irrational decisions that seem to be rational at present. The only way to ease this load off my back is by blogging.

"Promise are made to keep". This saying is just a bunch of bullshit, if it really is true why do I find the people closest to me mistreating me and my emotions. Admit it, promises just aren't meant to exist, that's how I see it. If you don't see where I am coming from, then please let me explain myself. Ever ask yourself the reason as to why a promise is made to you and you feel all happy inside sensing a bit of hope, yet you find yourself experiencing excruciating pain when you realize that the promise was just a hoax. Deceptions, Lies, Betrayal. It's just all too much to bear. I am now over promises, any promises made towards me mean nothing, I will only believe what is told to me when I witness it. Just how many broken promises, how much pain can one endure. My answer? None, no one should have to experience any of this.

The feelings I have for my family are now gone. It has now officially been locked up under 'JUNK-OLD STUFF-THE PAST'. Emancipation. Up until the end of last year, this word wasn't a part of my vocabulary or dictionary. Ever wonder why? Because, I never knew such thing existed, never knew that one can undergo this process. At first I thought it was silly for someone to choose to emancipate from their parents, now I can understand why some kids choose this option instead of running away. I, for the past few hours have been drawing up a visual pro and con table up in my mind towards this idea. After holding a private debate with only me, myself and my conscience, I have decided that after I finish my final high school year (this year) I will officially ask the court to undergo emancipation and I will leave this family. This manipulative, selfish, arrogant, hypocritical and untrustworthy bunch of people. I deserve to have my own freedom, my own life, a life where I can do everything at my own pace and at my own free will. Now I know what you might be thinking, let me guess, is it somewhere along the lines of:
"WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS GIRL DOING?! ISN'T SHE BEING IRRATIONAL AND TAKING THINGS TO THE EXTREME?!"
Just to let you know, you may think that I am insane, but that's because you're not in my situation. One cannot endure a lot of pain, especially when it's caused by the people whom you love and thought who loved you in return. I just want to be able to have independence, my own social life, make my own decisions, be who I want to be, do what I want to do. My life wasn't created to be controlled by someone other than myself.
I am a human being, not an animal or an experimentation.
My brain can function properly, I walk, talk, eat and play perfectly fine. So why does anyone have the right to tell me what to do and make decisions for me? I just don't get those people. I just want to get through this year peacefully and then I will be free once and for all. I hope to some day be like these birds.
